Self Weight of Common Construction Materials

The Self Weight of Different Construction Material must be put into Consideration while Designing a Structure. The Self Weight of these Materials are always considered as Dead Load.

Below are Different Construction Materials with their Self Weight:

  • Plain or lightly reinforced – 24KN/m³
  • 2% reinforcement – 25KN/m³
  • 4% reinforcement – 26KN/m³

[2] GRANITE ( Stone )

Self Weight – 27KN/m³ to 30KN/m³

[3] BASALT ( Stone )

Self Weight – 27KN/m³ to 31KN/m³
